    Akio Daniel Junior was born in Uganda on January 15, 2004. His family is Christian and they stay in the village of Barr, located in the Lira district of rural northern Uganda. He lost both of his parents in 2012, and he is staying with his grandmother, Okello Rose. Rose is a peasant farmer and struggles to provide for the 4 children in her care. Daniel helps out at home with fetching water. He is in the Primary 6 Class at St. Ann Primary School. His favorite subject is English and he hopes to become a politician when he grows up. He is HIV positive and receiving treatment for it and his asthma. In his spare time, Daniel loves reading, drawing pictures and playing football (soccer) with his friends at school. He asks for prayers to be a good boy and for abundant blessings.
  • Asabawebwa Rahuma was born in Uganda on September 27, 2009. Her family stays in the village of Budhumbuli, located in the Jinja district. Her mother had her when she was in high school, and her father's whereabouts are unknown. Rahuma and her mother stay with her grandmother, who sells secondhand clothing to provide for her large family. There are 10 people sharing their home, and Rahuma helps out with washing dishes and clothing by hand. She is in the Primary 5 Class at Living Stream Nursery & Primary School. Rahuma loves drawing, dodgeball, and playing with dolls made of banana leaves. She dreams of becoming a doctor when she grows up.
  • Oyengo Innocent was born on March 3, 2007. He is in the Primary 7 class this year at AOET's Rehoboth Primary School in Lira, northern Uganda. His favorite subjects in school are math and reading, and he loves to play football (soccer) with friends. He has aspirations to become a nurse. Sponsorship will help him stay in school!
  • Nambi's parents are separated, and her father is sick and cannot work to send funds for the children. Nambi's mother calls her a "good studier". Her favorite subject is math! Sponsorship would give stability to the family.
