AOET Community Health Care Program (CHCP) – Providing increased holistic community healthcare services to enhance the quality of life to the individual, family, and village community.
In response to community need, AOET-USA is excited to announce our enhanced partnership with the AOET Health Centre in Bugembe, Uganda.
The goal of this initiative is to expand the Centre’s services from HIV/AIDS specific outreach to a more long-term patient-centric community care model. This will position the Health Centre to deliver broader services aimed at the diverse needs of the community.
Our goal for this campaign is two fold. First is to provide the resources that allow AOET to hire a Medical Director to oversee the Centre operation on a daily basis. This will create both a greater level of expertise in the Centre as well as create an environment of communication between the Health Centre in Uganda and AOET-USA.
Secondly, our desire is to expand the footprint into advanced added-value services, including:
- Patient-Centric Care
- TB Screening & Treatment
- Immunizations
- Minor Surgeries
- Women Specific Medicine
- Pregnancy and Prenatal Care
- Family Planning
- Ongoing monitoring & systems to track patient care treatments
- Continuity and community-based relevant care
Our goal for this project is to raise $100,000 and we are well on our way, thanks to a generous $50,000 matching grant!
