Asaba Angel Vanessa was born in Uganda on November 23, 2004. Her family is Catholic and they stay in the village of Bugembe, located in the Jinja district. She is a partial orphan, having lost her father to an unknown illness when she was very young. Her mother is a peasant farmer, and struggles to provide for her 5 children as a single parent. She has completed her secondary education and is now a candidate for our Higher Education Sponsorship Program. Since Operation One launched our Higher Education Sponsorship Program four years ago, we have seen a 100% completion rate of our students!! These children take this opportunity very seriously, and we are pleased to be able to offer this opportunity to our high school graduates. Vanessa will be “matched” with a programs that is comparable to what she score high on in her national exam.
