Description
Akello Mirriam was born on December 29, 2006. Her family is Protestant and they stay in the town of Lira, located in the Lira district of rural northern Uganda. Her parents are peasant farmers, both living HIV+ and struggling to provide for the family. Mirriam has 3 brothers, and she helps out at home by fetching water from the well. She is in the Senior 2 class. Mirriam tells us that her favorite subject is mathematics and she hopes to become a teacher one day. In her spare time, she enjoys reading storybooks, singing and dancing. She is a high priority student in need of sponsorship.
